Chinchillas Available for Adoption

The chinchillas on this page have now been here for the full 30 days required before going up for adoption and are now ready for furever homes!  If you are interested in adopting any of the chins on this page, please fill out an adoption application in its entirety!  There is an adoption button at the bottom of this page!

There are currently 27 chins available for adoption (as of 9/5/2010).  This page has not been updated in some time, but I will be updating it soon!

   Boo Boo & Naomi

Boo Boo & Cocoa came to ForCHINate Chins on February 5, 2007 along with Elaine & Meeko, Lisa & Rooney, and Naomi.   Their previous owner misses them dearly, but knew that giving them up  was the right thing to do for them.  Boo Boo is a Standard female, 8 years old, and was spayed during an emergency c-section.  Naomi is a Brown Velvet female (Boo Boo's daughter), is 4 years old, and is missing her right eye, though she does NOT let that stop her!  The mother/daughter pair is very well bonded even after a years separation while Naomi stayed at another resuce.  Originally, Boo Boo and Cocoa were paired together, but sadly, Cocoa passed away in January due to complications with Malocclusion.  I will post pictures of Naomi very soon!  The pictures below are of Boo Boo (on the left) and Cocoa (on the right). 

Chi Chi

Chi Chi came to ForCHINate Chins on June 9, 2007.  She is a very loving girl, but it must be on her own terms.  Chi Chi was born in approximately January of 2006.  She loves chin scratches!!

Coconut

Coconut Came to ForCHINate Chins on September 28, 2007.  She is a standard grey and is approximately 3 1/2 years old.  Coconut is still getting used to her new surroundings, but she'll come out of her shell soon! 

Yoda

Yoda came to ForCHINate Chins on December 10, 2007.   Yoda was taken in by a friend out of a bad situation in the hopes that he would get along with her chin, but sadly, they did not get along, so she brought him to me so he could find a furever home.  Yoda is a standard grey male and is approximately 3 years old.  He will need a home that can give him lots of attention and chin parents that are very understanding of the situation he came out of.  He was neglected and mistreated and his actions show that.  He'll need a lot of time and patience, but....when the right person comes along, he'll make a great pet for them!

Nougat

Nougat came to ForCHINate Chins on March 26, 2008.  He is a standard gray and is an attention getter!  He loves loves loves attention!  He also loves running in his wheel!   Pics coming soon!

Cheech

Cheech came to ForCHINate Chins on April 20, 2008.  She is approximately 4 years old and is a standard gray.  She is blind in one eye, but she does not let that stop her!   She absolutely loves running in her wheel!!  Will post pics soon!

Chico & Gonzo

Chico and Gonzo came to ForCHINate Chins on May 9, 2008.  Chico is a standard gray and Gonzo is a Beige.   They are both approximately 5 years old and have been together since they were 4 months old.  Their previous owner became severely allergic to their dust due to pregnancy and wanted them to go somewhere that they would be taken care of like they need.   They are very sweet boys!  Pics coming soon!

Sweet Tart (Sweetie)

Sweetie came to ForCHINate Chins on May 17, 2008.  She is a beautiful Standard gray girl and was born in July of 2006.  She needs a furever home and can't wait to make her new family happy!! Pics coming soon!!!

Chico & RJ

Chico & RJ came to ForCHINate Chins on May 22, 2008.  They are both standard gray boys and are very friendly!   The boys are approximately 2 years old.  Pics coming soon!

Baby Brat

Baby Brat came to ForCHINate Chins on June 6, 2008.  She is a standard gray and is approximately 2 years old.  She loves chin scriches and

4 nameless Chins

These 4 chins came to ForCHINate Chins on April 26, 2008.  There are 2 females and 2 males all living in separate cages.  I have not yet given them names, but I'm working on that as their personalities come out. 

Male #1 (Ears) is a Sapphire and was born with only one ear.  He is very small but very energetic!

Male #2 (Stubby) is a standard gray and was beaten up as a baby, but survived to be a very sweet boy!

****Male #2 has been adopted,

Female #1 is a beautiful standard gray!  She has seizures from time to time, but it seems to only happen when she gets excited.  Other than that she is in perfect health and is VERY sweet!!

****Female #1 has been adopted!!

Female #2 (Chubs) is a BIG standard gray girl!  A little skittish for now, but she's overcoming that with time!

Salt & Pepper

Salt and Pepper came to ForCHINate Chins on April 4, 2008.  Upon arrival, Pepper had an appointment to be neutered so that he and his lady Salt could stay together.  We are currently waiting the 111 day gestation period to make sure Salt is not pregnant, then they will be made available for adoption if she is not!  Pics coming soon!
