Giving up any pet is a very hard thing to do, but we do understand that in some situations, it is necessary.  We can assure you that your chin will get the best care possible in our home until a new home is found for him or her, and he or she will be loved and cared for just as much as our own chins.

On this page, you will find the procedures to follow when surrendering your chin(s) to ForCHINate Chins.

Please do not fill any forms out before contacting us via email first.  Once you have emailed us regarding your situation, we will instruct you on which forms to fill out.

After you have emailed us regarding your situation, we will ask you to please fill out and submit the pre-surrender form.  This form allows us to get some information on your chin(s) as well as helping us to know how much space will be needed for the cage(s), and what supplies we will need upon the arrival of your chin(s).  To fill out the pre-surrender form, please either follow the pre-surrender form link, or click on the button below.

Prior to meeting for the pick up of your chin(s), please print and fill out a separate chinchilla release form for each chinchilla and bring it with you when we meet.  This form will transfer ownership of your chin(s) to us, allowing us to place your chin(s) in new furever homes.
